Zoey

Zoey was our golden girl, whom we cherished for 13 and a half wonderful years. She loved to go on truck rides with her Dad. He’d say to her, “If it’s Sunday, it must be a truck-ride day,” although they went every day.

Zoey was a Timbit girl. Everyone at our local Tim Hortons knew her and would run to the window to give her the treat. She was so gentle. Zoey’s favorite summer day pastime was spending the afternoon in our pool, and afterward, she would insist on going out to the front lawn to see the neighborhood children on their way home from school. She expected everyone walking past our house to come up on the lawn and speak to her. Most people in the area knew Zoey’s name, even if they didn’t know ours. She loved company and made everyone feel welcome.

Zoey loved to get into Mom’s garden and lay on the plants! Even after putting up a little fence, where was Zoey? On the other side of the fence! Look, Mom!

Zoey brought so much joy to our home and we miss her terribly. Luckily she always gave us a reason to take her picture so we have lots of memories.
Hugs and kisses from Mom, Dad, Kathy, and your brother-from-another-mother, Baxter (our cat) ?

Thank you to Dr. Monique and Dr. Ronderson (with whom we felt an instant connection) for their professionalism and the compassion they showed to Zoey and to us.
