Allie

Our sweet girl, Allie, earned many nicknames through the years:
Allie-gator, Allie-girl, Baby Bear, Princess, and in her senior years, she was our Sleeping Beauty. With an American Bulldog mother and a Bouvier father, Allie had her father’s appearance and her mother’s personality — stubborn, intelligent, and fiercely loyal. In a house full of men, she was my girl, the heart of our home. Our world revolved around her for 14 years.

I had always resisted the idea of having a dog, especially a large breed, until Allie and I met and she chose us as her forever home. She was included in everything — family photos, vacations, special occasions, visits to the grandparents, and many days spent poolside. In her later years, in spite of decreased mobility, she still loved car rides and walks with her “dad”.

Allie crossed the Rainbow Bridge suddenly but peacefully at the age of 14.5 years. Our hearts are broken, yet we are so grateful for the gift of Allie-girl. Thank you to Dr. Monique and Dr. Ronderson for leaving us with beautiful memories right to the end of her life.

Godspeed, sweet girl. You are so loved.
